BEETLE | 2020

This seventeen-metre tall and eight-metre wide moving Beetle statue portrays the Porsche 911 car stuck on a pin, reminiscent of a beetle in an entomological collection. The statue was unveiled on 1 April 2020, and the investor is Passerinvest Group. According to its author, the statue draws attention to the excessive social appeal of motoring.

Did you know that…

The car comprises 11 moving segments which move using hydraulics. The statue surface is made of a pink and purple laminate, and altogether the installation weighs ten tonnes.
